    Emergency Food Shipment

World Missions Outreach is honored to be celebrating our 16th year in Nicaragua. We are breaking strides to end the generational cycle of poverty through education and nutrition. Through our three schools and 70 feeding program across Nicaragua, we provide 5.4 million meals a year and 15,000 meals to children every day. We measure our success by the success of our students that have gone through our program! We provide not just a hand out, but a hand up - physically, mentally

Meet Oscar - Stories from La Chureca

Meet Oscar He is a fine young man who is married and has a young daughter. They live in La Chureca - A landfilled dump that people live in the middle of. It's inhabitants shift through the trash to find anything to use, eat or recycle. This is the only way they know how to survive. National Geographic has labeled La Chureca as one of the seven most horrendous places in the world. Despite the limitations that he faces on a daily basis, he has been teaching himself english with

A Pastors Love - Stories from La Chureca

My father is a Pastor, his father was before and my father's father before him. I can tell you a Pastor's love for his people is one of the most beautiful things that can be witnessed. A Pastor lives a life of service, dedication and sacrifice. The man in this photo ministers everyday at his church which is located in the middle of a massive landfill in Nicaragua. His community is considered as one of the "Seven Horrors of the World." His people survive by sorting through rot

Meet Junior - Stories from La Chureca

Meet Junior - By Lindsay McVety A young kid who impacted our Canada Christian College Mission Team Leader while she was serving with her group at WMO's Feeding Program in La Churreca (a dump that some call home). This is a message you do not want to miss. Okay, I think I'm finally ready to tell his story. This is the one that stopped me in my tracks. His face revealed to me that no matter how many times you go on a missions trip or see poverty or tragedy, there are always mom

How Does World Missions Outreach Measure it's Success?

This is a photo of our very first high school graduating class at WMO. Since then, we have asked ourselves "How do you know measure the success of our missions work" It's simple really. Through our students! We are so proud of our WMO students. We are honored to be able to give them an opportunity to change their future through education. These students, never imagined being able to graduate high school. They not only have graduated high school, but have gone on to get full c

WMO Students Going Green with Solar & Wind Electricity

World Missions Outreach recognizes the importance of education. We equip our students with the tools to lean trade skills & the importance of preserving our earth and its inhabitants. Our students are learning about wind and solar energy. Part of their lesson plan is to create a science project to share what they learned with their fellow students. Our 4th graders worked together to create working examples of wind and solar energy. World Missions Outreach knows that the best

    What is Love

    • Love • What is Love? • Kneeling down to wash someone else's feet is one of the most humbling expressions of love. Just like washing dirt covered feet; love isn't always pretty. It may not always be fun. It may be difficult. It may be overwhelming and hard at time. Jesus teaches us that washing someone else's feet is a true display of selfless service of pure love. When you think about it, the idea of washing someone else's feet may seem gross, awkward, uncomfortable and dir

What being a Proverbs 31 Woman really means

Many women become so consumed with whats popular or trendy, that they don't even know who they are anymore. It's not all our fault. The pressures we put on ourselves as women today, have failed us as a whole. For the first time in history, we are a generation that can do anything! Literally anything! We so often become consumed or obsessed with a certain coveted position in society; that we forget our own identity in the process. Real talks, it's time to turn off the nonse

    Cristina's Story of Complete Healing

Do you remember Cristina? I first met this sweet little girl at a World Missions Outreach Feeding program she was wrapped around her mothers side, sobbing quietly. All the other children were playing & singing, but not Cristina. As each team member took turns speaking to the children, I couldn't take my eyes off of this little girl who's spirit seemed to be completely broken. I was compelled to know her story! I was so caught up in sensing her pain that I missed my cue when t

Does Sponsoring a Students Really Make a Difference?

This is Elizabeth. She is in the 2nd grade at our WMO school in Nicaragua. I sponsor Elizabeth so she can receive an education, clean water, daily meals, medical supplies, shoes, clothes and more. This scholarship, per say, is a way to create a culture of self-sustainability. See, we love to give and provide assistance when it's needed, but we also want to change the way people look at giving. By giving these students a chance to learn and receive an education of core fundame

Equipping WMO Students with Cultural Diversity - WI Team Serves WMO School Campus

The La Crosse, WI mission team spent each morning attending World Missions School's student led chapel service. Every morning before class, the WMO students attend chapel. What better way to start off the morning. The students take a lot of pride in putting together each mornings chapel time. The students coordinate everything from the worship band, to singing and preparing the Bible lessons. Each grade prepared their own songs to sing in Spanish & English to share with the t
