Meet Intern Lara!



Meet Lara!

Lara is our all-star intern and friend for the beginning of the school year here in Nicaragua at World Missions Outreach! She has been a huge help to kick off our school year and mentor with our WMO students!


Lara completed High School early with all honors credits while at the same time working to complete her Associates Degree in College. She is always eager to jump feet first into everything that she does!


While in school she was a member of the National Beta Club, Student Council, Bible Club and FCA.

She was a member of her school cheer team. She earned all conference and All-State Cheerleader for the year.

Lara also helped to create and organize a Youth Commission International (YCI) club in her high school where she was honored to be chosen to receive a yearly grant on its behalf and was nominated for the prestigious Eagle Award for the past 2 years.

She started the Girls Varsity Golf Team where she went on to qualify for regional for 3 years and was all conference for 2 years. Lara was Miss a Concord’s Outstanding Teen, a Level 5 competition cheerleader, a competitive dancer and competitive Olympic weightlifter during her school years.

She enjoys playing the guitar, piano and traveling.


Wold Missions Outreach Nicaragua

Lara has hosted drives for Second Harvest Food Bank and Charlotte Reads, participated in 5k events for Meals on Wheels and Juvenile Diabetes Awareness. She has served at Opportunity House where she helped with children worship for under privileged children while they received a warm meal.


She is the founder of 'Prayers and Cares', a charity to help children find comfort when faced with challenges and adversities. She founded her own company Parties with Character, where she performs as several Princess’ for private events! She has used this as a platform serve in her community by visiting children at local children hospitals where she delivers bibles and other necessities to help children have a little relief while in the hospital.

Lara plans to attend UNCC and study Business/Marketing in the Fall.


Did we Mention she decided to spend her Birthday with us? That's right!

We are very lucky to have her as an intern with World Missions Outreach!!
