| This incredible island formed by two volcanoes is located on Lake Nicaragua. The Concepción volcano rises to 5,500 feet above sea level, and the Maderas volcano is 3,833 feet. From the moment you arrive on Ometepe, you realize that you are in a different world--unique in its kind. The presence of the volcanoes is constant, as life circles around these two giants of nature. While we were visiting the island in February, the Concepción volcano had two minor eruptions. |

We work with pastors from seven churches on the island. There are several hundred children in these churches, and supplying the needs of these children is the main focus of the island work done by World Missions Outreach. |
